About EAC

An Energy Attribute Certificate (EAC) is a certificate which guarantees the renewable origin of a specified unit of electricity. Commonly used EACs include Guarantees of Origin and (International) Renewable Energy Certificates (GOs, RECs, & I-RECs).

These certificates are an effective tool to ensure the sustainability of your energy supply and achieve your climate-change-related targets.

We will guide you with all aspects of the EAC market - be it to reach your corporate sustainability goals or regulatory compliance purposes.

GO

Guarantees of Origin (GOs) are issued to producers of renewable energy in the EU to prove the energy is renewable and from sources such as solar, wind, or hydropower. One GO translates to 1MWh of green electricity injected into the grid.

REGO

Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) are issued to producers of renewable energy in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It proves that the energy was generated from renewable sources such as solar, wind, or hydropower.

REC

This translates to 1MWh of green electricity injected into the grid and is used in North America (USA and Canada).

I-REC

This translates to 1MWh of green electricity injected into the grid and is used outside of North America and Europe.
